Covid…

I have not been able to write much whilst the covid narrative has been playing out.  I have had to surrender to the unravelling of layers, changing needs, and emotions brought on by this foreign chaos.  Im talking about the whole two year saga, not the experience of the flu itself. Read on…

My energy has shifted, I am not who I was before.  So as we begin the gentle walk out from the darkness, I am starting to ponder what lies on the other side... slowly...

Yes, the past two years has changed us.  Every one of us in some way shape or form.  Make no mistake.  It’s happened to me and you, inside and out.

What has it shaken, released and awoken?

How have you responded?

What decisions have you made?

What changes happened?

What residual effects are you left to reconcile?

What fresh space did the chaos create?

What emotions are left to be healed?

What are your priorities?

Who are you now?

The drawn-out period that was covid, rattled the entire world.  It was a modern war fort with strange weapons.  What we are left with is a period of reflection and healing.  Big events like this leave psychological scars in ourselves, our families, our community, our workplaces and in the bodies of our children.

You can begin to notice how its showing up in your body (and your home) as left over tension and unresolved emotional baggage.

Before we rush off to ‘get back to normal’ (even though that is entirely a myth because you are not that person anymore) I invite you to take the time to pause, feel and listen – deeply to the authentic medicine that lives in you.  What we are left with now is the feelings of grief and loss.  If we miss this important step in the cycle of healing, we leave emotional baggage in our system that will have to be dealt with in our time, or future generations.

We can do our part, now. How do we lead the way out of covid chaos with more awareness, clarity and confidence?

We, and our children, have all just participated in the biggest emotional disaster of our time and place.  We have all been forced to respond day by day to the daily assault of news, rapid change, uncertainty of our future, loss of freedoms, restricted movement, body autonomy and overall structural and system chaos.

Lots was taken away from us and much changed.  From freedoms to identity, loss of job or loved ones, extraordinary demands, threats, and orders.  Massive fear and lots of unknowns.  Feel into the genuine impact this might have had on your nervous system and emotional body.  Slow down, and listen.  Encourage space for gentle conversations, not to fix, but rather to release what needs to be felt, held and voiced.  Acknowledge it with love.

As an emotional embodiment specialist, Im interested in healing the reconciling of this psychological harm, so that we are not just skipping the step to ‘move on’ in a rush to be okay again.

Were we really okay before?

Had you been waiting for something to come along and change you?

How can we convert these strange times in new ways of being and doing?

THIS is the gold to be harvested...

Post the ‘covid saga’ offers you a gift, if you dare to stop and ponder.  Always, on the other side of being ravished by big change, grief and loss is something transformative.  Don’t miss the bit that needs tending too before you leap into what’s next.   Slowly.  Slowly.

Nurture your emotional body.   Create vital space to decompress.

You are the key in opening that portal.  Let yourself feel it.

If you have actually had the ‘covid flu’ and experienced it in your body… look for what it illuminated in you… physically, mentally, emotionally, constitutionally, spiritually… how did it show up in your body? Use is as fertile ground for growth.
