spiral…
What would the journey of life look like if it were a spiral?
The first half is about building up, conquering, learning, challenging, risking, calling, collecting, moving, pushing, creating, energising...
Then we reach the middle... a time of resting, surrendering, reflection, letting go, simplifying, integration, refining, cleansing, moving slower, new choices... deepening...
Then we make our way out... the time of wisdom, mastery, reverence, presence, clarity, supporting, guiding, holding, weaving, wondering, less is more, quality over quantity...

So in we go... full bore towards our ambitions... go for gold, make the most of it, face to the wind, work hard, burst forward, risk it all, climb, reach grow... all that flashy jazz.
We get ‘there’... to that mysterious wonderous place we were hunting down, take stock, look around, let go, reshape, refine, exhale and soften.
We turn back around having deepened into the full experience of life... Now – in-body for real... so go on, set forth and begin again... but in a new way... living deeply... feeling, knowing, lifting, supporting, embodied... ready... wearing our fresh new face of age... and turn around, to face life in a new way, all over again. What a gift.

Spiral in. Go forth to learn and conquer. It all out there for the taking.
Centre place. Rest, reflect and claim your whole and complete self. Don’t miss the alchemy of this place. This is where you first meet the Elder within, that has been patiently waiting for you. The one who has been gently calling your name in the distance of time, space and ancestry.
Spiral out. Go forth in wisdom and mastery. Fresh eyes, open heart, grounded and connected. You are the one who knows you best now. Farther up and farther into self.

Notice the shape of a spiral... how does this speak to you... following the pondering above? Think of your unique journey of life so far, tracing your finger until you reach where you are at... if you are still travelling in, how’s it going for you? If you are at mid-life... did you pause and spend those special years in rest, reflecting and refinement? If you are heading back out.. how do you feel now?
